Amy Furber

Amy Furber is no stranger to presentation skills training, with twelve years experience teaching college level communication classes.  Courses she teaches include public speaking, small group communication, interpersonal communication and argumentation and debate.  Amy has been a trainer and coach with PowerSpeaking, Inc. since 2006, and is certified to coach all of our courses: PowerSpeaking®, HighTechSpeaking®,  Speaking Up^®, SalesSpeaking®, and FastTrackSpeaking®.  She also leads our PowerSpeaking® workshop.  

In addition to her background in Communication, she has five years experience developing non-profit literacy programs for at-risk youth both in Los Angeles and the Bay Area.  She also trains youth and university students in career development including resume writing and interviewing skills. 

Amy earned her Masters degree in Speech Communication and her Bachelors in both Communication and French.  Amy enjoys being able to use her French in PowerSpeaking, Inc. classes on occasion!

As a volunteer, she helps coach college students in their competitive speeches.  She is a member of the National Communication Association.
