The class gave me the courage to relate a personal story about my 4 year-old son to close my talk. We were fortunate enough to have a Delta II launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA two days before my talk. That event helped drive home the pride we feel about continuing the Delta heritage well into the future.

The launch was at about 6 AM, so I was able to watch part of it with my son from his bedroom window. He got so excited when he saw the Delta II blazing across the sky. He spontaneously asked where the Delta III and Delta IV were. I laughed and told him we were still working on those. Then, thinking it was a counting game, he asked, "Where's Delta V and VI?" I said to him, "Well, those are rockets you may launch when you grow up. Maybe you can show them to your son someday."

I've gotten A LOT of positive feedback from that talk (and story), including the key Air Force customers. I'm sure it was the basics in your workshop that drove me that extra little step to tie some visual imagery to the talk.

What may be the greatest value of your training was the knowledge you imparted could be passed on. Input of your students was requested during the dress rehearsals. They did some very constructive criticism of all the speakers and the excellent results were evident at the meeting.
