Melinda Henning

Melinda Henning brings over 30 years professional experience to her role as Lead Trainer and Coach with PowerSpeaking, Inc. She has been on the PowerSpeaking^®   team since the beginning, and has been instrumental in developing, marketing, and delivering PowerSpeaking^®  training and coaching since 1985.

After a successful career in teaching and mental health services, Melinda earned an MBA in Marketing in the 1980s.  She established an impressive track record as Account Executive in the training industry, then introduced her pioneering Doing Business By Phone™ series of seminars for sales and customer service, adopted by clients including Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Stanford Medical Center, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and others. Her experience with PowerSpeaking^®   includes conducting more than 12,000 private coaching sessions and leading hundreds of programs. 

What keeps Melinda enthusiastic is her belief that “one person can make a difference” through speaking.  She helps social entrepreneurs and nonprofits (Planned Parenthood, Institute for One World Health, Bring Me a Book Foundation, and others) raise money, change minds, and solve problems.  She serves on two nonprofit boards and has been active in the National Speakers Association, Women in Consulting, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and the VC Task Force.
