Using PowerPoint

Using PowerPoint for your visuals? Here are a few tips.

1) Keep in mind that you are the main event, not the visuals.

2) Edit out visuals that you don't absolutely need.

3) If lights must be dimmed, every ten minutes or so, turn the lights on full and talk to your audience directly.

4) Use the "B" key on your computer keyboard to make the screen go blank and refocus attention on you. The "B" key also makes the slides come back when you are ready.

Remember, no visual aid is going to be as compelling as you are. Step up to the plate. Let 'er rip!
