FORD HATAMIYA

Ford Hatamiya has a 29-year track record of success working with managers and executives on facilitation, presentation skills, team building, leadership training and cultural competence/diversity.  He works extensively across the US, Asia Pacific and Europe.

Ford’s experience includes:

  • Conducting workshops, facilitating client meetings, training trainers, and developing custom programs as a senior consultant with Interaction Associates since 1997, for clients such as F. Hoffmann-La Roche, Agilent Technologies, Intuit, Hewlett Packard, Dell, eBay and Cisco Systems.
  • Serving as training manager for a US Department of Health and Human Services contract operated by University Research Corporation in Bethesda, Maryland. In that role, he designed and facilitated large-scale, high-stakes meetings; managed and delivered a suite of training offerings; and built partnerships with other national and federal agencies. He served as a national advisor on issues of cultural competence. 
  • Providing communication consulting for Stanford University, the US Postal Service, the US Census Bureau, and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. 
  • Serving as associate director for the Multicultural Training Resource Center in San Francisco, California.  In that capacity, he developed training and assessment programs to assist nonprofit and public sector organizations in addressing issues of diversity in their staff and client populations.

Ford holds a MA in ethnic studies from UC Berkeley.
